Waiver Residence Services The DHS/DDS Medicaid Waiver allows for persons with Developmental Disabilities to remain living in the community and achieve their highest level of independence. Services offered under this waiver include: supportive living, adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, specialized medical supplies, consultation and case management. Individuals served have input in the development of their own Plan of Care, which reflects the areas in which the person needs assistance. These services also allow individuals to receive training in daily and independent living skills. Some of those skills include, but are not limited to: transportation, socialization, budgeting, household maintenance, medication management, nutrition, shopping and exercise. Persons who are unable to live in the community or who have special needs reside in the co-ed Waiver residence.
